Full voice acting is provided in the campaign and the campaign even showcases a different test subject, Abby. The mod provides a number of new testing chambers including a full “campaign” that is even more challenging than the official maps included within Portal. The game that taught everyone that the cake is a lie, Portal receives a mod of the highest quality in the form of Portal Prelude. Distant Stars can be downloaded at the mod’s official homepage. The team behind Distant Stars is working everyday to create even better versions of the existing mods that make-up Distant Stars, and discussion regarding the continued development of the mod can be found on the official Sins of a Solar Empire forums. A selection of smaller and more specific mods are encompassed within Distant Stars including graphics enhancements, sound enhancements, and a multitude of additional game play facets. Sins of a Solar Empire has a strong modding community that has developed many unique and frankly, awesome mods. Synergy can be downloaded and kept updated via Valve’s Steam. While the experience of playing Synergy with a number of buddies has led to copious amounts of fun and laughs, the mod is still being slowly developed with some severe bugs for select users. However, the mod provides so much more than just that – there are numerous Synergy-only maps included and a number of other single player mods for Half-Life 2 can also be played in co-op. This mod based on the version of the Source engine included with Half-Life 2 is at its most basic level, a method through which to play Half-Life 2 and its episodes in co-op mode.
